Your right to change your mind
For online consumer purchases, subject to statutory exceptions, withdrawal can be notified within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Sidewalk sales are not active yet: this page explains the relevant rights; the practical procedure will be available before the planned opening in 2027.
Handmade does not mean personalised
The works offered in the shop are already made and cannot be personalised. Being handmade or requested from a supplier after ordering does not, by itself, exclude an item from the right of withdrawal.
CreativeVANE bespoke projects
CreativeVANE has a separate enquiry route for bespoke projects. The form sends an information request to Sidewalk, not an order. Before any agreement, the proposal, price, timings and terms will be clarified, including any withdrawal exceptions for goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
Communicating a change of mind
An explicit statement, including by email, is sufficient to exercise withdrawal. The template on the Returns, withdrawal and support page is optional. Keep a copy of your notification. The dedicated online function and acknowledgement of receipt will be available before purchases are enabled.
Returning goods and refunds
Goods must be sent back within 14 days of notifying withdrawal. The refund is due within 14 days of notification, but may be withheld until the goods or evidence of dispatch are received, whichever is earlier. It includes the least expensive standard delivery offered and uses the same payment method, unless otherwise agreed at no cost to the consumer. The return address and return costs will be stated before purchase.
Opened packaging
Opening packaging is not in itself a general waiver of rights; any diminished value due to handling beyond what is necessary is assessed under applicable law.
Defects and the legal guarantee
The legal guarantee of conformity is separate from withdrawal and protects consumers for at least two years from delivery, without prejudice to more favourable applicable periods. Remedies for defects include repair or replacement at no charge and, in the circumstances provided by law, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
